EDSI is the European Division of the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI). EDSI is a nonprofit professional organization of European researchers, managers, educators, and students interested in decision-making techniques and processes in private and public organizations. Members of EDSI are members of DSI and affiliated to EDSI, and as such can leverage on the long history of the parent organization, giving access to a global network of members and resources.

EDSI was founded in August 2009 by approval of the board of DSI under its President Ram Narasimhan and President-Elect G. Keong Leong. DSI was founded in 1969 and celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2019, when the conference returned to New Orleans, the city where the first DSI conference was held.

Dear EDSI Community,

I am deeply honoured to assume the role of President of the European Decision Sciences Institute and to welcome all members, partners, and friends of our association.

EDSI is much more than a professional society. It is a community of talented and passionate individuals united by a common interest in understanding and improving decision-making in organizations and society. Our strength lies in the diversity of perspectives, disciplines, and cultures that come together through our activities and conferences.

As President, I look forward to supporting initiatives that encourage collaboration, scientific excellence, and the development of the next generation of decision sciences scholars. I invite each of you to actively participate in our community, share your ideas, and help shape the future of EDSI.

Together, we can continue to expand the impact of decision sciences and reinforce EDSI’s role as a welcoming and influential international network.
